Shimla : The airport in the Himachal Pradesh capital remained shut for the third consecutive day Tuesday, an official here said. The air connectivity between Delhi and Shimla snapped Sunday due to a thick blanket of fog in the national capital.
“No flight from Delhi arrived at the Shimla airport even on the third day today (Tuesday). No flight left for Delhi from here either,” Anil Goswami, airport controller at Shimla, said.
However, air connectivity from Delhi to two other destinations in the state – Kullu and Dharamsala – resumed Tuesday.
K.M. Mehra, airport controller at Bhuntar near Kullu, said that the Delhi-Kullu flight arrived on time at 8 a.m. Tuesday and departed for Delhi at 8.30 a.m.
An official of Kingfisher said that the flights between Delhi and Dharamsala have also resumed.
Kingfisher is the only airline that operates regular flights between Delhi and Himachal Pradesh.
