Mumbai: Mr. Suleman Ahmad Azmi, Chairman Leo Duct Engineers & Consultants Ltd. has a chequered career. Armed with a professional degree in education (B.Ed.) from Shibli National College, Azamgarh, Mr. Azmi ventured to teach children in India’s business capital city Bombay which is now known as Mumbai. While being a teacher on meager salary Mr. Azmi was offered a lucrative job as Personnel Officer but after deeply pondering he preferred to stay in the field of education. Ultimately, it proved to be a right decision as Mr. Azmi could successfully educate two of his younger brothers who established a business. In the beginning Mr. Azmi had to work in two shifts in addition to private tuition. He saved substantial amount to start business with his brother Dayyan Azmi who he got trained in technical field.
Mr. S.A. Azmi has established “Sarwar Educational & Welfare Trust” of which he is the Chairman. The trust has been registered both in Mumbai and Azamgarh. The trust runs a school by the name of “Madarsa Tanveerul Uloom” in Kausa, Mumbra, Thane, Mumbai. The construction work for the building had started in 1997 but regular teaching of K.G. and I Std. has started from 2008. Maulana Abdul Rasheed Nadvi Saheb is the Principal and classes from junior K.G to IV Std. are intended to be run on CBSE pattern.
Mr. Azmi has also arranged for preparation of special text books to teach Arabic (Al-Durusul Arabia) through Al-Hira Foundation, Sanjay Nagar, Mumbai (email: [email protected]).

Mr. Azmi intends to establish a “Sarwar National School” in Chandpatti, Azamgarh through Sarwar Educational & Welfare Trust, Azamgarh. The land for the purpose has been acquired. Mr. Azmi hopes to upgrade this School into an Intermediate and even a Degree College. Being in the field of education for decades and as an experienced teacher Mr. Azmi is very much aware of the importance of education in the development of a community and wishes to help Muslim community through this humble beginning.
