Four injured in Jharkhand bomb explosion

Jamshedpur : Four people, including two policemen, were injured Friday when a bomb exploded in Jamshedpur city of Jharkhand, police said.

A police officer said a resident of Olidih area of Adarshnagar colony informed police about a bag kept on the roof of a house.

“Police reached the spot and tried to remove the bag. The bomb which was kept in the bag exploded after falling on the ground when policemen tried to remove the bag with sticks. In the explosion, four people were injured,” the police officer told IANS.

He said the policemen should have called the bomb disposal squad instead of taking such a risk.

The injured have been admitted to the Mahatma Gandhi Medical College of Jamshedpur. The condition of one person is serious.
