Chennai: Top officials of the Election Commission will meet district election officers in Tamil Nadu Tuesday to discuss preparations for the state assembly elections slated for next year, an official said here Saturday.
“Chief Election Commissioner Navin B.Chawla and the two Election Commissioners V.S. Sampath and S.Y. Qureshi will meet the election and police officials and discuss about the matters pertaining to assembly elections,” state chief electoral officer Naresh Gupta told reporters.
The election commissioners will review matters relating to voters identity cards, electoral rolls, reorganisation of polling stations and other matters, he said.
Chawla will Tuesday also inaugurate a photo exhibition as a part of the diamond jubilee celebrations of the Election Commission.
