Gupta, 53, alleged before the court that the jail authorities in Tihar are harassing her.

“Tihar jail authorities were harassing me and threatening to implicate me in different cases,” she said in a handwritten application submitted before the court.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kaveri Baweja sought a response from Tihar jail authorities by July 13 on Gupta’s application.

The Special Cell of the Delhi Police is yet to file a chargesheet in the case and failing to do so will make Gupta eligible for bail.

Gupta, a second secretary at the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, was arrested here April 22 on charges of passing on information to the Pakistani intelligence agency.
