Noida : Unidentified men Friday decamped with cash worth Rs.22 lakh meant for an ATM here of the Deutsche Bank, police said.
The cash was taken away around 1.30 p.m. from the van of Writers Safeguards, a contract company which handles banks-cash.
“Three men, including the driver of Writers Safeguard Company, came to reconcile cash in the ATM installed outside the Deutsche bank branch in Sector 18 of Noida. The two men got engaged in reconciling cash in the ATM chamber and the driver went to take water,” a police officer said.
“Meanwhile, Rajvir Singh was guarding the van. A man, from the side grill, asked him to look at the road on which he saw several currency notes of Rs.10 and Rs.20 denomination lying on the road.
