Srinagar: Marking off Tuesday as “purchase day,” the Hurriyat (G) today issued a new “Quit Kashmir” movement calendar for the coming week featuring March to Maisuma on Friday 30 July 2010, and massive 12-hour street sit-in protest on Wednesday and Thursday.
In the new programme, Tuesday has been off in protests and their will be no protest or strike on Tuesday 27th July 2010, and Monday 26 July 2010 will be complete strike.
Unveiling the calendar, Hurriyat (G) said that Tuesday had been reserved for making purchases on the eve of Shab-e-Baraat (Muslim Holy Night) and essentials to be stocked to make the coming programme successful.
On Wednesday and Thursday people have been asked to hold sit-ins in their localities. “People should protest and hold sit-ins in their respective localities on July 28 and July 29.”
Again on the 1ST August, Sunday will be complete shutdown while as Hurriyat asked people to write graffiti “GO INDIA GO” on walls or wherever they can and that demonstrations should be held on 1st August.
