Rajendra Kumar and Rajesh Kumar, in their mid 30s, were nabbed late Monday from Leharpur town, about 80 km from here.

“Rajendra and Rajesh were arrested while they were waiting for their clients in order to hand over them the illegal consignment of drugs,” police inspector Rajveer Singh told reporters in Sitapur.

“The two have admitted that they have been involved with the Nepal-based racket for the last five years and that their prime job was to supply drugs in parts of Uttar Pradesh and some of its adjoining states.”

The duo have provided vital clues about the illegal trade in various districts of Uttar Pradesh, particularly eastern regions.
