Raipur : A total of 129 foreign nationals are staying illegally in Chhattisgarh, state Home Minister Nankiram Kanwar said Tuesday.
“A total of 4,972 foreigners arrived in the state during the past five years, 3,971 of them returned to their home countries before expiry of their visa while 872 others got their visa extended and are living in the state. But 129 people are still living in various parts of the state despite the expiry of their visa,” Kanwar told the state assembly in a written reply.
He added that the 129 foreigners staying illegally in the state had been asked to leave India.
