Lucknow : A fire broke out in the engine of a coal-laden goods train in Uttar Pradesh’s Ambedkar Nagar district Thursday, railway officials said. No casualty was reported in the incident.
“It could have been a major mishap, but with the timely intervention of railway and fire-fighting officials it was averted and the fire could not spread to the wagons from the engine of the train,” V.K. The train, coming from Jharkhand, was headed towards a unit of the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) in Tanda, Ambedkar Nagar.
