Kerala daily signs MoU with Abu Dhabi Police

Abu Dhabi: Siraj Malayalam, a Kerala-based daily, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Abu Dhabi Police on media cooperation between the two sides.

The Siraj daily, which has an edition from Dubai, has agreed to serve as a media conduit with the Indian community in the UAE.

Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, director general of the finance and services at Abu Dhabi Police and Al Sheikh Abu Bakr Musliyar Kanthapuram, head of Siraj Publishing Group were present during the signing of the MoU Sunday.

MKM Abbas, editor in-charge of Siraj paper, signed the MoU on behalf of the Indian paper.

Badran said the paper plays a role in educating the Indian community in the country about laws and regulations, especially in the security and police fields.

Kanthapuram said light will be shed on police awareness message, especially the efforts of the ministry of interior to deal with violators of the residency law through provision of correct information.
