London : India’s Somdev Devvarman will meet France’s Guillaume Rufin in the first round of the Wimbledon men’s singles qualifier.
Third-seeded Somdev, who became the first Indian in 13 years to qualify for the French Open last month, is playing the Frenchman for the first time.
Also in fray, is US-based Indian Prakash Amritraj who plays 28th-seeded German Dieter Kindlmann in the first round.
In the doubles, the two Indians will be facing each other in the opening round, Somdev partnering Philippines’ Treat Conrad Huey and Prakash with Swiss Yves Allegro, seeded seventh.
