New Delhi : It was a muggy Wednesday in the capital with the minimum temperature settling at 29.1 degrees Celsius and the weather office forecasting rains later in the day.
The minimum temperature was normal for this time of the season.
“There will be a partly cloudy sky and possibility of thunderstorm followed by rain in some parts of the capital Wednesday. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 40 degrees Celsius,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The weather office recorded traces of rain in some parts of the capital late Tuesday.
The official attributed rains to a western disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir.
Delhi Tuesday recorded a maximum temperature of 40.6 degrees, a notch above average. The humidity was recorded at 50 percent.
