Chandigarh : The owners of hotels, restaurants, guest houses, cinemas and multiplexes have been asked to install CCTV cameras in their premises to beef up security.
“District magistrate has issued strict directions to the owners of these places to install CCTV cameras, which should cover entry, exit, reception and parking areas. These orders have been issued in view of the recent terrorist strikes in the country and inputs received from intelligence agencies,” said a spokesperson of the Chandigarh administration Thursday.
“Recording of 30 days should be kept and submitted whenever directed to do so,” he added.
These orders come into force from immediate effect and strict action will be taken against violators, the spokesperson said.
