New Delhi: Narrowing the circle on Mecca Masjid bomb blast accused, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has announced a cash reward of Rs. 10 lakh to the person who will provide information leading to the arrest of Sandeep Dange and Ramchandra Kalsangra- the RSS members and key accused in the Mecca Masjid bomb blast case.
The blast took place on 18th May, 2007 when a huge gathering of Muslims were offering Juma prayer, killing 9 people and leaving scores injured while in the subsequent police firing on protesters demanding arrest of the culprits involved in the blast, five more were killed.

In the beginning, many innocent Muslim youths were arrested in connection with the blast but strong protest from the community forced police to investigate in the right direction and arrest real culprits. Later, all the Muslim youths were acquitted by the court for absence of proof against them. And now real culprits are being arrested one by one.
CBI has taken over the custody of RSS members Devender Gupta and Lokesh Sharma who are also accused in Ajmer Dargarh blast case. Both these accused were earlier arrested by Rajasthan ATS. At present, Devender Gupta is in CBI custody up to 30th June 2010 and Lokesh Sharma is in judicial custody.
During the investigation the role of Sandeep Dange and Ramchandra Kalsangra in the case was exposed. Since then CBI is searching for these two accused.
