Sonia celebrates Holi with schoolchildren

New Delhi: Congress president Sonia Gandhi Monday celebrated Holi, the festival of colours, at her residence with a group of schoolchildren.

Wearing a black salwar kameez and a red dupatta, Gandhi applied colour on the faces of the children and also gifted them bouquets and packets of sweets when they visited her 10 Janpath official residence to wish her.

Speaking on the occasion, Gandhi said: “Holi not only promotes communal harmony but also brings cheer and infuses among the people the fundamental and eternal values enshrined in our ancient Indian culture.”
