Patna: For its remarkable services in blood donation in the last five years in Bihar, the Patna-based Al-Shifa Blood Donors Club was presented with a memento yesterday on the occasion of Bihar Day. The state health department organized a mega blood donation camp at Model Blood Bank and invited all organizations and groups active for blood donation and banking. The work of Al-Shifa club was appreciated.

At the award ceremony, Rizwan Ahmed Islahi, patron of Al-Shifa club and Shaukat Ali, convenor, were jointly presented a memento by the director of Model Blood Bank, Dr Anand Kishore.
Al-Shifa club was started in 2005 by Bihar unit of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind. It has so far organized eight blood donation camps. The recent was held on February 7 when 35 people including some Muslim women had donated blood.
