Jaipur (Rajasthan): Expanding its network of para-legal social activists, national civil rights group, Association for Protection of Civil Rights (APCR) organized its training workshop in Rajasthan.
Dr. Shakeel Ahmed, Director, APCR in his key note address on “establishment of justice in contemporary India and our role”, urged, “To ensure the peace in the society, we have to be the part of the process to ensure justice”. “We can’t think of a peaceful society without ensuring justice in the society as injustice breeds chaos and uproar”, he asserted. He further said, “Even to guarantee the development for all, we have to ensure the just distributive system.” He called upon the gathering to fight against injustice and establish a just and equitable society.
Jamaat e Islami Hind, State Chief, Engineer M Saleem while extending his cooperation to APCR said, “It is the moral and religious responsibility of Muslims to work for the protection of civil rights and uphold the human dignity”. He urged upon the participants to get united and work on grass root level along with other groups. He further said, “APCR should work for all groups not only for Muslim community.”
Liyakat Ali, former IG stressed on unity and awareness among the community for the protection of Civil Rights. He also urged the gathering to work hand in hand with other groups working on human and civil rights protection.
Senior Community leader and Rajasthan Muslim Forum’s Convener, Qari Moeenuddin presiding over the inaugural session congratulated for the formation of APCR’s chapter in Rajasthan and organizing such workshop and ensured his full cooperation to organizers to further the cause. He also stressed on unity and cooperation.
Earlier while introducing the workshop, Adv. Paker Farooq, Convener, Rajasthan Chapter of APCR said, “this training workshop of selected social activists and advocates is intend to build a network of those who can work for the protection of civil rights and fight against injustices of different forms, at grassroots level ”.
Among the others, who felicitated the workshop as resource persons include Adv. Jameel Ahmad, Shabbeer Khan, Adv. Shahid Hassan Khan, Amanullah Khan and Mahtab Alam on topics of Protection of Human Rights: Some important tools and Understanding Judicial & Administrative structure. 80 advocates and social activists from different parts of Rajasthan participated in the workshop.
