Moscow : Students at a high school in Siberia beat up their 73-year-old teacher and posted the video on the internet, a media report said Wednesday.
Police and law enforcement agencies are looking into the incident that took place in Siberia’s Irkutsk region after videos came up up on the web showing students wrapping up their teacher, Yelena Ivanovna, with a volleyball net and kicking her around like a football during physical education classes.
Ivanovna suffered from sclerosis and the next day could not remember what had happened the previous day. Other teachers of the school in Shelekhov town said they had long known about the incident, but that the school director had banned them from telling anyone, the report said.
When Ivanovna was shown the videos, she could not believe her eyes. “Is that me,” she asked. “Children could not do that,” she said and burst into tears, the report said.
Meanwhile, the director of the school has been sacked.
