AS claimed Friday that this is the sum that Inter will have to pay Real because of performance clauses in the sale of Wesley Sneijder to Inter in August 2009.

Real sold the Dutch midfielder to Inter for around 15 million euros, plus various extra amounts according to how many trophies Sneijder won with the Italian giants.

Sneijder, 25, was annoyed at being shown the door by Real. He has rebuilt his career at Inter and has been important in them reaching the final, which, ironically, will be played in Real’s Estadio Bernabeu on Saturday against Bayern Munich.

AS claimed Friday that Real would use the three million euros as part of the package to lure Inter coach Jose Mourinho to Madrid, to replace Manuel Pellegrini.

Pellegrini has still not officially been sacked by Real but Spanish media are convinced that he will be next week, in order to make room for Mourinho. Real finished second behind Barcelona in La Liga, and flopped in the Champions League and the Spanish cup.

Rival sports daily Marca, which was campaigning for Pellegrini’s dismissal throughout last season, claimed on Friday that next week Mourinho will sign a three-year contract with an annual salary of 10 million euros.
