Pakistan, he added, is in contact with all friendly states in this regard, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office.

Gilani strongly condemned the assault by the Israeli Defense Forces on a Gaza-bound humanitarian aid flotilla, which has resulted in the killing of members of this humanitarian mission.

The Prime Minister said that this unwarranted and unprovoked military action by Israel against a humanitarian mission constituted a flagrant violation of international law and norms and values of humanity.

Meanwhile Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said he has talked to American ambassador in Islamabad and asked her to gather information about the tragedy.

He said the American envoy told him that the American ambassador says there is no contact with Flotilla and that she is trying to contact the Israeli authorities.

Qureshi said that Israel has violated international law by firing at the innocent people on the ship, adding that UN and OIC can take up the issue.
