The 90-minute meeting came in the backdrop of threats of increase in infiltration from across the Line of Control that divides Jammu and Kashmir between India and Pakistan and the tenuous situation in the valley, sources said.

The chief minister and governor met for the first since government offices shifted to the winter capital Nov 8.

As chairperson of the unified headquarters, an apex body of the security agencies, the chief minister has been reviewing the situation with the forces. He shared his inputs with the governor in the discussions that also focused on counter terrorism strategy, the sources said.
