Asian Games sepaktakraw: Indian men’s and women’s teams lose to China

Guangzhou : Indian men went down fighting 1-2 and the women lost 0-3 to China in the preliminary stages of the Sepaktakraw team event at the Asian Games here Wednesday.

In the women’s event, the hosts proved too strong for India, winning all three sets comfortably.

India now play Malaysia in the men’s event and Thailand in the women’s section in their next group match Thursday.

The men lost to Japan with the same margin Tuesday in the opening match. The women were blanked by South Korea.
