Mumbai : A food and beverage summit, Food & Bev Tech 2010, would open here Friday, showcasing the latest machinery, packaging equipment and accessories required by the industry.
Food Processing Industries Minister Subodh Kant Sahai will inaugurate the summit, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
“The objective of the summit is to bring together cross-currents of opinions, views and ideas inherent in the industry, as it prepares to meet new challenges and imperatives. It would also cover a wide range of topics of interest to stakeholders in the industry,” said a CII official.
The event will be attended by central and state government officials and well-known names in the food and beverage industry.
