Lucknow: The members of Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha are up in arms against Himani Savarkar and two other leaders as each of them claims to be national president of the Hindutva outfit and “have captured party offices.” The members have warned them of legal action if they did not resolve the dispute.
The members by holding a meeting here on October 27 have opened a front to take on factionalism in the party and have warned so-called presidents of the group of legal action.
“Fed up with factionalism within Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha for the post of its national president the party members have opened a front against party leaders and warned them to immediately stop their politics for post and personal interests and elect one national president in the interest of the party otherwise party members will be forced to take any action against self claimed party presidents – Himani Savarkar of Abhinav Bharat, Swami Chakrapani and Chandra Prakash Kaushik,” said a statement written on the letterhead of Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha.
“Party members held a meeting here and discussed to launch a campaign against these self imposed leaders and warned that if they did not take step to save party interest, the workers will knock at the door of court,” it said.
“It is interesting that Chandra Prakash Kaushik has captured 80 percent of party headquarters in Delhi while Chakrapani has captured the president residence inside the campus. While Himani has opened her own party office and claims to be its president,” said the statement signed by P Kumar, senior member, Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha.
Himani Savarkar came into limelight a couple of years back when her Abhinav Bharat members were found involved in Malegaon and various other terror blasts in the country. About a dozen members of Hindutva terror group including Sadhvi Pragya Thakur and Col Purohit are in jail in the Malegaon blast case.
