IFF has already started its service at airports of Jeddah and Madeena since the arrival of first flight from India. In Makkah and Madeena the volunteers receive the pilgrims on arrival and help the aged and weak pilgrims to reach their buses and accommodation by wheel chairs.

As part of the service, awareness and orientation classes on safety and health issues are conducted for Hajis in their own languages. Besides, the volunteers are coordinating with Indian Hajj Mission and medical staff in the dispensaries and clinics to provide necessary medical service to pilgrims.

The Forum has already distributed handbooks on safety and health in India in six vernacular languages, prior to their travel to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To provide assistance for pilgrims of Assam and Bengal, the Forum has set up a special team that consists of those volunteers speaking Assamese and Bengali languages and also an exclusive team trained for first aid will be made available in Mina this year.

The Forum will start its service in Mina from 8th Dhul Hijja with1000 volunteers who will guide the pilgrims to their tents and other locations and help them to avail medical assistance when they are sick. The volunteers will cooperate with Mutawwif Organizations to solve the problems of Hajis during their stay in Mina and to arrange transportation to the pilgrims on return from the tent city. They would be there until last Haji leaves.
