Islamabad : A truck carrying 61 kg of explosives was intercepted in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan, a media report said Sunday.
Policemen deployed at the Ghazikot checkpost in the provionce’s Mansehra area intercepted the truck Saturday evening and recovered 61 kg of explosives. The truck driver was arrested but his aide fled the scene, The New International reported.
District Police Officer Sohail Khalid said the police were yet to establish whether the explosives were being transported for use in subversive activities or not.
“We have launched an inquiry,” he said.
