Aurangabad: “I will understand the problems being faced by Muslim organisations and here and apprise US president about them,” said Farah Pandith. Farah Pandith who is president Obama’s special representative to Muslim communities was in Aurangabad on her two day official tour regarding upcoming visit of President Obama to India.
She interacted with various Muslim educational and social organisations on first day. She talked to reporters at Late Pramod Mahajan Patrkar Bhavan about her visit. She said that she came to Aurangabad to interact with various educational and social organisations and NGOs run by Muslims here.
She said that Aurangabad is not a very big city but for her it is as important as any big metro city. When asked whether US President will come to Aurangabad during his visit to India she told this issue is of two country’s regarding which places President Obama will visit.
Regarding Aurangabad she tweeted that Aurangabad is a beautiful historically important city. “Mughal aura floats around ancient structures as we drive by,” read one of her tweet on her way to Aurangabad on August 30.
On second day Farah Pandit met remaining Muslim educational and social organisation. After she attended a programme on Women empowerment and attaining sustainable development at Rama International Hotel. Various personalities from different fields attended this programme. This programme was hosted by TATA Stree Shakti and TiE.
