Indian Muslims to express solidarity with the Palestinian people on Int’l Qods Day

New Delhi:Indian Muslims across the country will stage protest rallies for the liberation of Masjid Al-Aqsa on International Qods Day (September 3rd).

Founder of Iran’s Islamic Revolution late Imam Khomeini designated the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan (Muslims fasting month) as the International Qods Day.

To mark the International event this year, thousands of Indian Muslims are to stage protest rallies at Jantar Mantar in Central Delhi, President of the Shaheed Mutahhari Society in New Delhi Maulana Syed Jalal Haider Naqvi told IRNA Thursday.

He said that the demonstrators would call for the liberation of Masjid Al Aqsa and condemn the US-led Israeli atrocities on the innocent people of Palestinian.

The ralliers are jointly organized by National Council of Shia Ulema and Majlis Ulema-e-Hind, Naqavi said.

Moreover, he added that Friday prayer leaders of Delhi’s Historical Jama Masjid and Fatehpuri mosque Maulana Syed Ahmed Bukhari and Maulana Mufti Mukarram Ahmed are also to address worshippers during Friday prayers seremons tomorrow asking them to express solidarity with Palestinians and condemn Israeli regime for its continued illegal occupation of Masjid Al-Aqsa as well as the Palestinian and Arab territories.

In their sermons, the Friday prayer leaders are also to condemn the Isreal for unleashing a reign of terror in the occupied territories and would pray for the victory of the Palestinians.
