Patna: A number of Muslim youths turned up at the call of Al-Shifa Blood Donors’ Club to donate their blood for the patients struggling for their life in various hospitals in Patna. Al-Shifa had organized a blood donation camp in Haroon Nagar area of Phulwari Sharif of the state capital.
Twenty-five Muslim youths including a woman donated their blood at the camp organized under the guidance of Dr Abbas Mustafa, president, Al-Shifa Blood Donors’ Club, informed Mohd Shaukat Ali, secretary of the club. Ali himself was among the donors.

The camp was conducted under the care of Blood Bank section of Patna Medical College and Hospital, Bihar’s largest public hospital. Most of the donors were the first-timer. However, some of them had been donating at Al-Shifa’s camp for last nine times.

The local units of some Muslim organizations like Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Students Islamic Organization of India and Al-Khair Charitable Trust cooperated with Al-Shifa, said Shaukat Ali.
