Singh, while addressing a rally in Mulayam’s home turf Etawah on Sunday, claimed that the sympathy of Mulayam was to save the skin of his party MP Reoti Raman Singh. “Mulayam has done great injustice to me and showing sympathy in this manner will not absolve him of his sins. It is not true that Reoti Raman has brought BJP MPs to my residence. The whole act by Mulayam was done to safeguard his MP Reoti Raman,” said Amar Singh. The announcement by Amar Singh also ended the speculation over his return to SP after Mulayam’s soft stand.

Lashing out at Mulayam, he stated that Mulayam uses the Congress plant for his convenience. “When he gets power due to Congress, the party becomes good else it is a pariah for him. It is the dual character of Mulayam,” he said. He also denied that Kalyan’s association with SP was brokered by him. “If Mulayam had asked me, I would have taken the blame on me. But he chose his family over my 14 year old friendship,” he said.

Amar Singh also spilled the beans that while he was coming to Etawah to attend the rally on his chartered plane, Mulayam rang up his associate and requested for having words with me. “I remember the behaviour of Mulayam towards me, I was humilated once even in Saifai mela. It was due to my efforts that Mulayam reached such heights in politics despite being short heighted,” he said.

MP Jayaprada also castigated Mulayam for the treatment meted out to her and Amar Singh. “If the same behaviour which was done with me happened with female members of Mulayam’s family, I doubt he will reinduct Amar Singh in the party,” said Jaya.

The rally was also addressed by other RLM leaders including former MP Obaidullah Azmi, Asghar Khan, Arvind Singh etc.
