Beijing : A group of 52 tourists who went missing in a China province have been found safe and secure, rescuers said.
The tourists were visiting Linhai in Zhejiang province when contact with them was lost Saturday afternoon after they were caught in torrential rain, the Shanghai Daily reported.
Rain hindered their progress to a meeting point where a bus driver was waiting to pick them up. When the driver could not contact the group due to poor telecommunications signal in the mountainous area, he called the police.
Emergency rescue teams from Shanghai and Hangzhou began a search Sunday morning along with police officials.
The missing tourists were found safe near a hillside later Sunday.
