Rehabilitation of the people would begin after completion of relief work in the affected areas in Badin district, Mirza said.

She added that the National Disaster Management Authority had started telemedicine to provide medical facilities to rain-affected people on modern lines, reported Associated Press of Pakistan Tuesday.

Torrential rains lashed the district earlier this month, causing extensive damage. At least 16 people died and many houses collapsed in the downpour. Over 25 oil and gas fields were submerged.
