New Delhi : Social activist Arvind Kejriwal Tuesday urged Anna Hazare supporters to not break the law and maintain the “decorum” of the movement for a stronger anti-corruption bill.
“I’ve seen some people breaking traffic rules while protesting but I would request everybody to obey laws and protest peacefully and responsibly,” Kejriwal told reporters at Ramlila Maidan here as Hazare’s fast entered its eighth day.
“Violating laws in the name of supporting the movement is also a form of corruption,” added Kejriwal.
Supporters gathering outside politicians’ residences should refrain from individual attacks, Kejriwal said.
“There are some people who are attacking individuals which is totally uncalled for as we are not against any politician but corruption… Offensive slogans must be avoided,” said Kejriwal.
Hazare began his fast Aug 16 when he was taken to Tihar Jail and released the same day — but he refused to move out. He came out of the jail last Friday and continued his fast at the Ramlila Maidan.
