“My government is committed to build up basic infrastructure in all the 18 districts. I will strive to care for farmers and poor people and will ensure to speed up development projects before state goes to polls in 2013,” Singh told reporters.

He also said he would try to make the government and administration responsible. He admitted that some of the promises made by the party in 2008 assembly polls were yet to be fulfilled such as providing interest free loan to farmers.

He claimed that Chhattisgarh was one of the fasted growing states of the country and the state had been maintaining over 11 percent Gross Domestic Products (GDP) figure.

Singh is leading the Bharatiya Janata Party government in the state since December 2003.
