New Delhi: Consensus on some key provisions of the Lokpal bill eluded an all-party meet that debated the contentious issue for three hours Wednesday evening.
The all-party meet on Lokpal bill called by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh concluded after 10 p.m. amid indications that there was no consensus on issues like bringing the CBI under the Lokpal.
According to sources, the government has told the leaders of the political parties that it will revert to them in a few days afer internal consultations.
Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, senior BJP leader L.K. Advani and leaders of other parties attended the meeting.
