New Delhi : Engineering and construction major Larsen and Toubro Wednesday said it has bagged an order worth Rs.1,210 crore from the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation for supply and construction of 13 high voltage sub-stations.
“Larsen and Toubro’s power transmission and distribution division has bagged the Rs.1,210 crore order from Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation for supply and construction of 13 sub-stations in Qatar,” the company said in a regulatory filing.
The scope of the project also includes delivery of gas insulated switchgears, associated cabling, power transformers, air insulated switchgears, protection and sub-station automation systems.
The contract also encompasses design and construction of civil buildings with a complete set of utilities such as air-conditioning, fire-protection and lighting.
The project will be completed within 18-26 months.
At the Bombay Stock Exchange, the shares of the company were 0.31 lower to trade at Rs.1,805.05.
