In her interaction with college students here during a sudden visit, Prof Radha Kumar, on Thursday said that her team would come out with a roadmap on the issue well before its term expired, according to a report published in Friday’s Kashmir Observer.

Calming aggressive pro-freedom sloganeering from her young audience at the SP College, Prof Kumar, an academician of note, exchanged views with the students on various aspects of the Kashmir issue.

The interlocutor said that her current trip was specifically meant to know the views of students here, and that she would be visiting several educational institutions in Kashmir, including the universities.

“These will be closed-door meetings outside the media glare, so that whatever I have to share with the students and whatever they have to say does not get disclosed prematurely,” she said.

She said that the interlocutors’ mission of peace had made significant headway, with consensus emerging within Kashmir as well as with Delhi, the report quoted her as saying.

“The distances witnessed earlier are narrowing down,” she said.
