Mumbai: Disappointed with the rejection of bail plea of 9 Muslims accused in Malegaon 2006 blast by Special MCOCA court on Tuesday, Kul Jamaati Tanzeem, an Umbrella organization of different sects of Muslims of Malegaon, decided to start Jail Bharo Tehreek.
Informing about intensifying the agitation for the release of these accused, Maulana Abdul Hamid Azhari, President of Kul Jamaati Tanzeem of Malegaon, said: “We will start Jail Bharo Tehreek and are meeting on Wednesday, March, 16 in Malegaon to plan the future course of action.”
He alleged that the government of Maharashtra is not interested to do justice and therefore did not inform and put the facts before the court in the right perspective which led the court to reject the bail.
Advocate Jaleel from Malegaon said that they did not know why the bail plea is rejected and have applied for the certified copy of the Judgment. “We are definitely going to move to High Court and are waiting for the order copy” he said.
He said that CBI objected the bail plea on the ground that Swami Aseemanand’s confession is in the case of Mecca Masjid Blast and therefore it did not apply to Malegaon Blast.
“We have a firm belief in the court of law and sure to get the bail in the High Court” he said.
Notably, Kul Jamaati Tanzeem, Maelgaon, visited Mumbai several times and met with the Ministry of Minority affair Maharashtra, Arif Nasim Khan, Chief Minister, Prithviraj Chavan, Home Minister R. R. Patil, to present their case and all the time got their words of sympathy.
Kul Jamaati Tanzeem, along with other NGO’s of Mumbai, hold dharna in Azad Maidan to demand the withdrawal of cases against 9 accused some days back.
