Agra: More than 160 tourists, including 92 foreigners, thronged the Taj Mahal when the Supermoon lighted up the Saturday night sky.
The tourists were given entry in five groups when the moon was bigger, brighter and closest to the earth, an Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) official said Sunday.
Others chose to enjoy the monument’s glory from vantage points outside the complex or rooftops of hotels in the Taj Ganj area, said hotelier Sandeep Arora.
The Taj Mahal, built in the 17th century, is India’s biggest tourist draw.
