Talking in Brussels following the conclusion of the European Union summit,
Sarkozy said, ‘The solution in Libya cannot only be a military one.’

The French leader added he will be joined by British Prime Minister David Cameron at the upcomong Libya conference in London where both sides plan to make political and diplomatic recommendations.

Foreign ministers of the so-called ‘Coalition of the Willing’ are scheduled
to discuss the Libya military mission with NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen in London on Tuesday.

Facing mounting international critcism for their rather hasty and haphazard
decision to launch an assault on Libya, France and Britain have led the
military attack on that country for the past week.

Earlier in the day, NATO announced it would formally take over the command
of the military campaign in the north African country to enforce a
United Nations-mandated no-fly zone over Libya.
