New Delhi: Noose seems to be tightening around Indresh Kumar, a senior RSS leader. In a move which could spell trouble for the RSS leader, the National Investigative Agency (NIA) has named him in its supplementary chargesheet in the 2007 Ajmer blast case, charging him to be present at the meeting where the plan for the Ajmer blast was hatched. The NIA filed its chargesheet in a Jaipur court on 28th April.
The chargesheet says, “In the conspiracy hatched on 31 October, 2005, Joshi and his six associates namely Lokesh Sharma, Ramji Kalsangra, Shivam Dhakad, Samander, Sandeep Dange and Pragya Singh came to Jaipur. Reaching Jaipur, they stayed in room no 26 of Gujarati Samaj Athithi Grah, C scheme, Jaipur in the fake name and false addresses.”

“A secret meeting was organized which was addressed by Indresh Kumar of RSS who advised during the meeting that they should associate themselves with some religious groups for doing work while on tour to other states so that the people may believe that they are on pilgrimage and that nobody suspects them,” says the chargesheet accessed by The Indian Express. “Only after associating themselves with religious groups, they will be able to successfully accomplish their mission. The investigation on this aspect is in progress,” it added.
Although Indresh’s name has been appearing off and on in relation to the Ajmer blast with his name being there also in the chargesheet filed by the Rajasthan ATS; but the investigative agencies were not clear about the exact role he reportedly played in facilitating the blast.
What prompted the agencies to question Indresh was the confession statement of another RSS man Swami Aseemanand. Although he later turned hostile and is no longer their witness but the investigative agencies believe that they have got enough proof to nail the RSS leader known for his pro-Muslim inclinations. Agencies say that they have established the fact that Indresh, who has also been described as the “mentor” was present in the meeting in 2005 in which Ajmer blast plan was hatched. Importantly Sunil Joshi, who was later murdered, was also present in that meeting.
Several attempts by TwoCircles.net to contact Indresh Kumar who is also a patron of Muslim Rashtriya Manch, an RSS supported Muslim organization, failed. But Girish Juyal, the Non-Executive Head of MRM and supposedly the right hand of Indresh Kumar told TCN that it’s all on the instructions of the Congress led UPA government which is manipulating the investigative agencies.
Rubbishing the claims of the NIA, Juyal said that Indresh Kumar had no role to play whatsoever in the blast. He credited the RSS leader’s growing popularity among Muslims to be the main cause of this kind of “witch hunt against the peace loving person.”
“Indreshji is not only an RSS leader now. He is also a leader widely popular among Muslims across the country. He must have participated in hundreds of programmes organized by Muslims and has a following by the members of the community, something which the so called secular parties don’t like and that’s why you see this kind of false cases against him,” added Juyal.
