Aligarh: The Islamic Academy of Aligarh has invited applications from university graduates for two-year Research and Study Programme. The program aims at preparing a new generation of Islamic scholars who are dedicated for the revival of Islamic learning and can produce a new Islamic literature on Islamic ideas, values, and systems primarily in the Indian context.
The program includes intensive courses in Arabic language and literature, Tafseer, Hadeeth, Fiqh, Ilm-al-Kalam, Fundamentals of Islam, Preaching Islam, and Comparative Religions (Christianity, Hinduism and other Indian Religions).
Students are selected through a written test and personal interview. Selected students shall be provided full scholarship covering their food and accommodation plus other study expenses.
Last date for submission of the duly filled application is 10th June 2011. Students shall be informed of the date and venue of the Admission Test through Mobile and E-mail. Travel Allowance shall be provided to the students who come from other states or outside the Aligarh district.
