As per reports, the employees were agitated over the orders issued by two SCBW members Kunwar Iqbal Haider and Imran Rizvi for suspension of Administrative Officer Ghulam Syedain. The employees claimed that the board members are not authorised for suspending employees. They gheroed the two members who were in the office and demanded explanation from them. The members Haider and Rizvi tried to act tough with the employees which further infuriated them. Soon the news reached the Mahasangh of Jawahar and Indira Bhawan employees unions.

Both the buildings have more than 50 government offices with employee strength running in thousands. Soon the employee leaders reached SCBW office in Indira Bhawan and misbehaved with the members. The two members later left the office to save their respect.

After the incident, the employees of the SCBW locked the rooms meant for the chairman and members stating that till their grievances for timely payment of salary is sorted the chambers will remain closed.

The SCBW is headed by Kamaluddi Akbar who after the sordid state of affairs had resigned, but his resignation was not accepted. Akbar, a resident of Allahabad, however does not visit SCBW office anymore.
