Lucknow: To highlight the atrocities on minorities and other backward sections of the society in Uttar Pradesh, various civil rights groups led by People’s Vigilance Committee for Human Rights are holding a regional convention on 26th June in Lucknow – the capital city of the state.
To highlight the deteriorating rule of law in the state that result in atrocities on minorities, SCs/STs, OBCs, women and human rights defenders, several civil and human rights groups have joined hands and are holding a regional convention at Ravindralaya in Lucknow.
Dr PL Puniya, Chairman, National Commission for SCs, will be the Chief Guest of the convention.
Key civil groups behind the convention are Dynamic Action Group, People’s Vigilance Committee for Human Rights (PVCHR), Voice of People, National Alliance on Testimonial Therapy and Detention Watch.
