Mumbai : State-run firms Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) and National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) Wednesday signed an agreement for setting up nuclear power plants in the country.
Chairman and managing director of NPCIL S.K. Jain signed the joint venture agreement with NALCO chairman and managing director B.L. Bagra here, a statement said.
Currently, NPCIL operates 20 nuclear reactors with a total installed capacity of 4,780 MW. Six reactors with 4,800 MW capacity are under construction.
