Chennai: Expectedly, Krishnan Rajini (Moto-Rev India) clinched overall championship title as he notched his ninth win of the season in the Superbikes (Group A, 600cc) class at the MRF-FMSCI National Motorcycle Racing Championship here Sunday.
Rajini, undoubtedly the best two-wheeler racer in the country, finished the championship with 90 points, well ahead of Deepak Ravikumar (Preethi Racing), who ended up with 80 after yet another second place finish.
In Group D (165cc, Open), Shyam Shankar of Moto-Rev emerged champion as he took the top spot in the second race ahead of Sumit Lucas Toppo (Performance Racing) and team-mate A Prabhu. Shankar thus took his final tally to 94.
Meanwhile, A Madhan (Moto-Rev India) did just enough by finishing fourth to seal the championship in Group D (165cc, Novice) category, just two points in front of team-mate and race winner N. Abhishek (Moto-Rev India).
In the 130cc category (Group D, Novice), J Allwyn Jebaz annexed the championship by winning the race while Ravikumar, who had sealed the championship in the Group B (165cc, Open), finished the season on a winning note.

Group B (165cc, Open): Deepak Ravikumar 1, Sarath Kumar (Moto-Rev India) 2, K Jagan (TVS Racing) 3. Champion: Deepak Ravikumar (78 points).
Group D (165cc, Open): Shyam Shankar (Moto-Rev India) 1, Sumit Lucas Toppo (Performance Racing) 2, A Prabhu (Moto-Rev India) 3. Champion: Shyam Shankar (94 points).
Group D (165cc, Novice): N Abhishek (Moto-Rev India) 1, Arjun EB 2, Gaurav Naidu (Apex Racing) 3. Champion: S Madhan (76 points).
Group D (130cc, Novice): J Allwyn Jebaz 1, Kamlesh Thakkur 2, P Anand 3. Champion: Rajesh Ratna Kumar (70 points).
One-Make series: Honda CBR 150 – M sudhakar 1, Arvind Ganesh 2, Sudhakar Kesavan 3. Champion: Arvind Ganesh (38 points).
