New Delhi : The board of trade chaired by Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma is scheduled to meet Tuesday to discuss incentives to keep the growth momentum of exports in view of slowing demand in the US and European markets.
The board will take views on the trade scenario of the country and discuss “policy measures to mitigate fallout of the adverse scenario” in the world markets, the commerce ministry said in a statement.
Members of the board include industry leaders such as Hero MotoCorp’s managing director Pawan Mujal, Unitech managing director Ramesh Chandra, ITC head Y.C. Deveshwar, Venu Srinivasan of TVS Motors and Chanda Kochhar, managing director of ICICI Bank.
Commerce Secretary Rahul Khullar and Director General of Foreign Trade Anup K. Pujari are also scheduled to attend the meeting.
