Panaji : The Justice M.B. Shah Commission which is investigating illegal mining in Goa is already gearing up for its next big test – illegal mining in Orissa.
Speaking to reporters in Panaji Friday, a key member of the Shah commission U.V. Singh said the commission’s members were gearing up for their next big test.
“We are already doing our preparatory work for investigations into the Orissa illegal iron ore mining. We will begin investigations there sometimes mid of next month,” Singh said, adding that by then the probe into Goa’s illegal mining scam might be complete.
“There might just be a bit delay, because we want to complete our Goa part of the probe first,” Singh said.
The Justice Shah commission appointed by the Supreme court is probing illegal mining across the country.
