Mahesh, Anaka in finals of Indian Open squash

Chennai : The home dominance continued unabated in the Indian Open squash championship here Friday as Asian junior champion Anaka Alankamony and fellow-top seed Mahesh Mangaonkar swept into the finals of their respective categories.

In the girls under-19 section semi-finals, Alankamony defeated Lee Ka Yi from Hong Kong 11-7, 11-3, 11-1, and will next meet Ho Ka Po (HK) who overcame Aparajitha Balamurukan 11-6, 11-5, 11-6.

The boys under-19 final will be between Mangaonkar who beat Hong Kong’s Tang Cheuk Yan 11-4, 11-7, 11-6, and Abhishek Pradhan, a 11-8, 9-11, 11-7, 11-4, winner over Vrishab Kotian.
